The seabed of the Costa Brava is home to a diversity of life and a particular landscape. The curious underwater topography sown with different species of gorgonians and corals of the Mediterranean, as well as large meadows of Posidonia oceanica give a strong personality to this coast.
Mar Menuda
The next town is Tossa de Mar, a charming and quiet village where we can make one of the best beach dives. We are talking about the famous Mar Menuda. An extensive dive with several itineraries to choose from. We can start from shallow to more than 20 meters.
The biodiversity is very varied, from seahorses, big dentex, imperial bream, moray eels, conger eels, nudis… and whatever the destination provides.
Medes Islands
The Medes Islands is a marine reserve in the municipality of L’Estartit where aquatic life thrives at its best.
In these islands you will find dives for all tastes and levels. Sea eagles, opisthobranchs, lobsters… And many representatives of the Mediterranean fauna await you in the marine arch.
The reserve, being protected, is home to a lot of life. It is easy to have encounters with large groupers very confident in the presence of divers.
We recommend you to ask for more detailed information about the dive sites at the dive centers operating in the Medes Islands.
